LED grow panels

because i dont know how to stress enough that you will end up being disappointed with your results and can grow WAY better buds and plants for that matter with an hps and mh.. I really think ppl just dont like how bright HID lights are but they are bright because the sun is bright and LEDs do not at all replicate the suns brightness.. and ppl can say this and that about color spectrum and what not but the fact of the matter is that in order for a plant to grow and "flower" epecially, you NEED bright light.. Bottom line. If you bought them already try to return them. And Im not talking out of my ass Ive done countless hours of research on lighting and botany..

but, have you yourself used LED? if not then your implications of how terrid they are can not possibly be true.... and yes i cant stress enough that i have the LED's i bought them not to expensive and its not the money factor....another thing i cant stress enough is it is impossible to use HID or HPS im sorry i know you guys love it but for some of us due to the location of our grow room and our jobs we can not risk having these lights run otherwise i would i promise you this.... but i have a good feeling about the LEDs because ive done some searching and have come to the conclusion that its about 50/50 half of growers population say they are piles of shit and the other half say they work completely fine.... just like some say hydro is shit and dirt is shit you know you get good reviews and bad on both sides...but for me LED is the only option cuz id doesnt cost as much in electrical bills so where im growing the bill wont increase as much and heat... as i said before this location is stored away in a place where the person doesnt even know its there but a very safe place if done correctly hence the use of LED lighting.... so my only questions are will two 45w (112 x 10mm High Brightness LED) Blue: 450-470nm / Red 630-660 nm at each 5 plant station being 5ft. long and around 2-3ft. wide each station be enough or should i get another panel for each one? product says good for 5 square ft.

You do not need reflectors or foil for LED. I mean, it wouldn't really hurt but its not THAT important since the light is so directed.

there is no heat associated with LED lights ( IR ) so there is no burn.

Ya well i already insulated foiled and set up the entire room im just waiting on seeds and leca stone to start.... just wondering if i should maybe get a couple more panels first

kidd there are some good bits of info in the led threads if you look and try and tread through the garbage, of some folks I personally think should be banned.

but you will see that 660nm red is better than 630, among other things, like blue is better for vegging.

yes i understand how certain things will be better with metal halide but maybe when i find a better location for right now its a must for LEDs so should i grab another 2 lights and maybe see how it goes?

an i checked out them threads but not really answering my questions its the same thing people fighting about what one is better quiet frankly i dont care what is better im just trying to figure out how to make LED a better experience for my plants

ya ive been looking more into my particular panel and the reviews from all different areas seem to be good....im gona try them prolly order 2 more due to most of the reviews say that the area the lights cover isnt as wide as they clame

JN811 honestly you sit here and bash LED's left and right but you yet to have said that you have personally used them

LED's DO WORK! and they can save you money in the long run, with electricy bills and no bulb changes and less heat generated (isnt technology great anyways?)

ya i think im going to start them out with just one panel then order 2 more

more lights can never hurt. as far as the leds go i have never used them the guy at my hydro shop doesnt sug them as stand alone lights he said they make great suplmental lighting. i cant say for sure as i have never used them but what do know for sure is more is better when it comes to lighting i myself use a 600hps and 400cmh for ever 4 sq feet i was thinking about getting led for side lighting but wil probly wait a couple years for the price to come down i just cant see dropping 1300 on 300 watts of light and as far as saving power last time i checked ohms law 300watts is 300watts no matter how u slice it the only saving i could see would be on start up the hid bulbs. are u planning on doing a thread of ur grow?

if your spending the money for led's why don't you have mylar and led's suck there are some new ones being tested rite now that are supposed to have all the light specs down the ones out now are only good for veg and a waste of money look at maximum yield plenty of test done led only good veg sorry but jn811 is rite
