just got this today .http://www.ebay.com/itm/MEIZHI-Reflector-1200W-LED-Grow-Light-Full-Spectrum-5W-Hydroponics-Plants-Indoor-/232107259458?hash=item360aabb642:g:qtcAAOSwNRlYJDmq . i will keep this updated . ok opened the box well packed . turned on the bloom it compares to a 400 watt hps mix of looks like black light and red led so final light was very red like a hps bulb but only a 400 hps compare . then turned on the grow . these are able to turn both on at once or 1 or the other . ok the veg .grow . its compare to 750 watt mh . so that would be a 1000 watt dimmed to 750 watts . then kicked them both on and all my friends said was holy fuck ! you trying to blind me . it does cover more then a 1000 watt hps its way under rated it expose to be the same as a 600 hps . bull shit i have a 600 sitting right next to this monster to me its actually beating two 600 watt lights . only grabbing 550 watts my amp meter says its true watts. the fan are variable speeds depend what setting you have them on . and quite very well designed fans are more then enough to cool the unit . i will comment on the heat later tomorrow ill throw it into a 10/10 tent let it run 24 hours first . for the final outcome will it beat a hps idk yet . for the coverage footprint hell yea hands down .

light penetration vs a 1000 watt hps . the 1k goes about 1 foot deep . actually 1.6 deep . the led goes all the way to the floor . light coverage is about a 6/6 insane but for strong light i say its best to stick with the 5/5 all tests done with both lights 15 inches above . for the heat no comment yet . the led is going over 5 foot deep and hitting the floor .

yeah no problem . i have been growing for a long time every one i talk to in the hydro stores here say led are trash they dont sell them i think its because nobody can compete with ebay. and a lot of people that dont know what they are doing say they dont work . its time for somebody that does know what there doing to try one of these . hoping for the best to get away from added heat hps . running the same strand thc bomb this will be the 4th harvest from it i know what it pulls average how dense it is i am saving a few pieces from the hps to compare to the led hid it from my woman lol very excited hoping i can sell all my hps go all led only bitch i have so far its so damn bright !! the light is a bit of blue full spectrum in it so its not pink or purple you still can see the plants just need to wear eye protection even to go into the room even looking at the plant from 20 feet away it will hurt your eyes

I am not a grow expert, I am on my first grow. I definitely am not a light expert either. I am running a KindLED 750W in a 4x4 tent. I put the seedling into the tent under reduced light from the day that they germ'ed. I am just finishing one full week of flower stage; and all plants are doing just fine. I kept the plants short and stout because it was much easier to water/feed, rotate, take out of tent to spray etc....It has been extremely easy to manage heat with this light as well. I don't have anything to compare but love the KindLED lighting. I probably could have gotten into much cheaper lighting but I am perfectly fine with what I have and it works just fine.

update . this led is keeping up with hps solis tek digital ballast and hortilux bulbs open hood vs this cheap led cost me a lot less then the hps set up for sure half then less heat . ok . i threw it over a plant that week 4 this stage is critical to add yield . at the same time i threw a small plant straight out of veg under vs hps . the led light less stretch then the hps very bushy growth exploded under the led . ok for the added weight its the same as the hps . it had just a bit you know week 4 in flower so my point is the led is keeping up with the best money can buy hps adding bulk and got the small fresh plant going very well . i rate this light a 10 out of 10 . the conditions lights are about 20 feet apart temps 75 co2 injected . same amount of plants under 1000 watt hps as the led pulling 500 watts doing the same thing . i compare the heat of the led to a vented hps with a good exhaust fan . so ill say same heat 250 open hood hps or a vented 600 watt cool tube with 8 inch 750cfm blowing through it . not taking temps just me standing over it and my hand under the lights . buying more of these lights tonight . everybody says these lights are junk i am going to be rocking total junk leds selling all my hps . going to wait a few more weeks before i throw in the towel for hps cover my ass first if were a tent grower the hps be on craigs list . if i am wrong in 4 more weeks about the led i will post you can say told you so . this is my place on roolitup to be bashed and talked down to . i am the bacon grease flush guy after all lol .

Couldn't agree more, just hung a Mars Hydro 600 in my Gorilla 2x2.5. Compared to the MH and HPS I used to use years ago this LED stuff is the bees knees. I am interested in COB LED too and after a grow or two ill put one together. A little will last me and the miss a very long time so I'm gust going to grow one plant and see how it goes. To many people online are having success with the cheap LED lights to not give it a shot.

Hears to the victory garden!

sold all my solis tek digital ballasts today and raptor hoods and cool tubes . the led is rocking .very high quality never seen such dense before . the hps is more loose . yield hard to judge because the led is so much more dense . will have to say led is out preforming . hoping the led will harden up the hps plant .
