ya I also use co2 supplementation even in veg. dunno why the heck my leaves got burned unless that pic isnt light burn.

I nearly pulled you on that but didn't want to be a twat, but there is a HGL and its that scammy Cammie LED company that got banned last year from here and has a rep of ratting on customers who complain.
 
At this point weve only been Vegging with the Gavita, to see if works as well as the Hortilux HPS, and it seemingly does. We will use the Gavita for flowering in 1 month, and use the Gavita DE 1150w for Veg. We run it between 36-40 inches. Anything less than 36 inches, and they fry.
Never heard of the HGL

You are describing an issue of inadequate lighting at best

How many watts of hps did U replace with howany watts of HLG?

It's really a dif style with led

Personally I run my veg at about 30c coz it's drives photosynthesis

Aim for 35 watts per sq foot

Led is all about even spraed and uniform spears

Don't turn them on the side
Cover the whole canopy

Plus, lights are only one part of the equation. So many other factors could be throwing off the growth.

They posted pics earlier on in the thread that showed the lights over their tables but I don’t know what happened to them.
 
No virus lol. Everything is doing good. the added temps made the difference. '3' HLG600 over a 4x8 at about 60 percent brightness seems to do well. Ill know more as time goes on. There is also CO2 enrichment @1000. Aiming for 4+ LB a table like with the HPS. Going thru $4k in seeds to see what pops up

Glad you stuck with it and took the advice well man.

My old set up was 4x8 , 3x 600w hps, switched to LED, first light 720w of COB over one half, second half I lit up with 2x 260w HLG kits, they had just been released . Was pulling 2lb of either side. The QBs were more efficient than the COBs , yours are probably even more so and you have 3x 600s so its a lot of light.

There was never a point in flower I felt like my LEDs didn't beat my HPS.
Every so often we see someone with similar story to yours. Sometimes they throw a fit and cut their nose off to spite their faces.

Glad your on the way to making the most of yours.

Okay so an update. Raising the lights initially help it seemed and also raising the temperatures. However so far 4 harvest have been destroyed and aborted because the plants grow like shit under these lights. Out of nowhere they just turn yellow and eventually stop growing.3 600 watt lights does seem like a lot of light for a 4x8 table however they are only running at 40% at 20 inches away. But still remains it has been a disaster using these lights. WTH? The mothers under the same lights dont show any problems. they grow a little slower but they are somtimes 4 inches away from the light and are still fine

The light needs to be measured what do you use? The clones look great when they go in and come from under 1200w of MH@ 14 inches away. water temps of the clones 69f

Gavita recommends 24 inches for their 1700e. Full Power. Is 1700umol
1000w Hortilux HPS is 1600umol, and is arguably the very best Single Ended HID made. In the right conditions you can get a 1000w HID 20 inches or less.
The Gavita DE 1150w HID will fry plants at anything less than 3 feet. 2100umol, and insane amounts of Infrared.

What are you feeding the plants in Flowering?????

usually flora micro/calmag.cns17gro in veg

bloom cns17bloom/calmag/potassium silicate/potassium hydroxide as ph up.

ro water with heavy airstones. It seemed like the roots might have been a bit weak. At first it seems like the stretch is going great then all of a sudden with nice structure they start yellowing and the trics are like dust and hardly exist.im not ruling out root rot but the same set of clones at the same time under the hid seem fine. looking at the root under zoom reveal no insects

in bllom 125gallons of water usually gets 5.5-6 cups of cns17bloom 3/4cup calmag and 1/4cup protekt.

foliar feeding them brings out some greens but in the end they still die as if the roots die. i dont notice any slime of crazy shit in the root zone except they are kinda weak. i also think the hydroton shifts when the table floods and harms the root a littlebit

in the end i dont think its possible to get 30 inches from them in bloom. i need to know what the umol is at the leafs then couldnt i make sure theyre not getting too much or too little? what meter would be best to use?

3 hlg600watt per table
