Suck in flowering.Hello fellow green thumbs. I'm looking for some advice / feed back on the more cost efficient LED lights. I've been eyeing the Mars hydro1200. Has anyone used this light? Can anyone tell me how it performs? Thanks all in advance.
How many plants were you flowering under it? just curious, I'm not a defender of mars productsSuck in flowering.
Do you have a better suggestion? as far as led lights go? I'm retiring my 1000k hps.Suck in flowering.
Is that what you are growing under the 1000 watt HPS?I was going to try and get 3 chunky girls. That was my thought.
But yes 3 very chunky girls under 1000w hps, sorry misunderstood what you meant. Is that what you are growing under the 1000 watt HPS?
600w of cree, vero or citizen should smash a 1000w hpsif you want to get a quality light system for your money i would recommend diy...
how comfortable are you with building your own?
900w of cree, citizen, or vero would probably perform muuuch better than that 1000w
the more efficient the light source the more expensive the system becomes
if you see a high wattage system for a low price, a lot of the wall wattage is likely converted to heat and not reaching the lights
led systems with a more costly upfront investment will usually perform better, last longer, AND save you electricity over not only HPS but cheaper led systems as well
i looked at the numbers on that mars system and it would barely be suitable for a 4x4 for 900w... and like i said, that same 900w can cover your whole 5x5 if you diy

is it 510 total? the specs say the veg unit is 335w, and the flower unit is 512w... i know nothing about mars systems, i just wanted to help. but i do know that whether its 510w or 900w cobs still stomp all over the mars system for the wattage.Where did the 900 watts figure come from? The Mars 1200 draws 510(+-5%) or am I looking at the wrong Mars?
sounds great. you can do some reading around the led forum, or i can help you. i'm sure others around here can help you even more.I'n not very familliar with diy... but I am open to the thought.
