Led question

Hello i got question to someone nice enought to answer.
Here where i live is almost impossible to buy a 660 nm red led diodes,
but really easy to get a 625-630 ones.
Only way is to import em from chila what will take eones..
A way easyer is to get royal blue ones
So heres My question, does those 625-630 would work good enought?
Am planning to make my own led, just to be proud of myself heh

all of em would be 3w ones set to cowork with 4 cfls.
what u think guys, this would work?

I'm having a problem such as this myself.! I have a 800 watt LED system myself. Came out of UK. Well, I started thinking, if anything "ever" goes out, such as "light,fans, etc'... How in the hell am I goin fix it! ?: Well, I got to looking around, I can not find NOTHING as in replacements on the bulbs! Fans wouldn't be hard because they are just computer fans! But the lights is what I'm worried about..

i got a small box 60x35x90 cm so am running 2 well lsted plants atm at 5x30w cfls am planning to keep 4 of those + this extra led panel on the top of my box, but can't figure out that these reds are good enought to buy :/

That's should be plenty enough for just 2 plants. Although, I would maybe throw some CFL'S or a T5 in the mix for side, and or bottom popcorn growth..

ye as i said i am planning to run 4 cfls as upper/side lightning, but still not so sure about wavelenght :/

heh u gave me hope am low budget cuz of other living stuff ;/ so am planning to put about 75 euro im em with best results. theres from my worries are

Have u looked into the multichips? Like go to eBay and google "50w grow led". You can buy 2 50w mc's one blue one red, you just need to buy, the 2. Ballast and 1 big heat sink or 2 smaller ones

most eBay sellers dont ship to my country, except chinease heh. am not comfy buyin fro them :/

i imagine myself 6 of them givein' light to my plant from the top of my box all arround it? how do u think? would it work?

if you want it cheap there is no way around China, takes 4-5 weeks sometimes just 2, for me it mostly depends on the darn customs Office (1week shipment, 4 weeks in my country-tracking)...feels like 1 man is handling 1billion shipments from China. Last Thing were 4 cobs, 2 Warmwhite and 2 630nm each 30W, for 60$ including Drivers...about 100-110 true Watts. Nice Picture Those 15W u linked probably just have 10W each. Also maybe instead of the blue leds consider cold Whites instead, they have plenty of blue but also some other nm stuff.

Well see the system I'm using, each LED light has its own little heat sink, and also its own little fan sitting smack on top of each light.
I've looked and looked for a replacement bulb, bulbs just incase 1 goes out. Can't find shit anywhere!! Called the company in UK asked if they sold replacements, was told yes. Ok, the system would have to be shipped back to the UK, then the "replacement" costs out the ass per bulb! Around 60$ he quoted me. + shipping to the UK, + a service charge! Hell, by that time I could've got a brand new system!

There's bound to be a place that sales replacement bulbs for led systems! If anyone knows of such a place, please post the link, or stop by my thread and post it.. Thanks..

I think it depends on diodes type, if u know the parts it's made of it wouldn't be that hard to replace it.

i was on cigarette on my balcony and picked up a one of my lowryders cuted 3 weeks ago. it was hard to belive it has a micro leaf comming out xD i rly dont know how it survided 3 weeks without water and with temp comming at night up to 30F xD

just gave her some water and maybe will try re veg her if she will show need to live :]

i see urs point, have readed abut that. so what u think about 625-630 avabile for me within my hand.
whould they work as i meant?

You can see what I am doing with NW + WW by clicking on my current and last thread. Last thread was very much R & D, yield was not great, BUT, quality was there.

I think i've found decent leds for my need. they are not that expensive and have nice looking wavelenght 635-645 nm xD one 3w on pcb costs 2.1 eu at my local seller
heres datasheet http://download.maritex.com.pl/pdfs/op/PK2N-3LxE.pdf can someone take a look at it and say me what he thinks? ;]
And i think om makein 6x 9w modules, compilation of 2 crimson red +1 royal blue each module that at all will give me 54.
It will be about 38 eu for leds + additional +/- 10 for energy supply with build in driver :}
