Hey guys it’s warrior, I can’t access my old acc. So I’m looking to upgrade/replace my current light which is a Viparspectra par 1200 which actually served me well, but I want to get away from the blurple. The current light is 550w so I would ideally like something with a little more power or around the same. The budget is $1000 but I’m happy to stretch it so please drop all recommendations regardless of the price. After a pre built light also. :) cheers
Oh and I’m in a 4x4 area if it helps.

That HLG 650r is bad ass.
The older 550 is good too and on sale now!
Optic LED makes some good stuff too. I just got two of the 650s.

Can’t seem to find Optic LED, they might not be available where I live. I found the HLG 650r but thought I’d make sure this is definitely the one.

I’m having good results with my new Budget LED 500W Infinity Board. Use code 420mag for I believe 10% off your order. It’s a great light but flowering foot print is 4x4 but I’m in a new 5x5 tent. Here’s a pic of my current grow in that tent at 14 days flowering, and I am using a MarsHydro SP250 at the back of the tent.

The HLG is nice. I have all HLG stuff now. And if you do HLG use code RIU10.

The ChilLed strip lights look sweet too. This is right at your budget. You should get 5% more off if you go through this link.

So which light would you pick? The HLG 650r or the Growcraft?

The Growcraft if you can afford it. The spread will be better.

Another thing is you could change the 600 watt driver out for 2 500 watt ones and have 1000 watts if you wanted to get a bigger 5x5 tent later. I just like the modular design.

Here's the same light but with the 2 drivers for 1000 watts.

If you are happy with the Viparspectra you might look at their XS4000. It will fit your budget with some change leftover.

Gonna go with a HLG, but there’s only a little price difference between the HLG Scorpion Diablo 650 and the HLG 650R. Am I better off spending the extra and getting the scorpion Diablo?

i have the 600r and am very happy with it so far, i have it in a 5x10 with a 4' 8 bulb t5 supplementing for now, i'm vegging my outdoor currently and haven't flowered with it yet, so we'll see how i like it then. ill replace the t5 with the 650 scorpion and run with the 600r in my 5x10 for flower and veg in my 5x6 with 3 4' 8bulb t5s

There are a few I would recommend. I am running the Phantom PhotoBio MX, but was a toss up between it and the Growers Choice 720e. Both are extremely good lights that are very efficient in a 4x4.

I'm more of a DYI guy myself, but love the photobio and ROI 720e

HLG has the Scorpion Rspec @ $899 . . . it's by far the best LED I've ever owned. Great coverage and intensity . . . all you need in a 4x4 and $500 less than the Scorpion Diablo
