If I were you I'd try to get a refund or cancel that purchase immediately. Those lights are worthless for growing much of anything, especially mj. Those diodes run at 0.06w each, you want to aim for about 2w each actual draw.
 
KawiZZR is right, with just .06w each it would be completely useless for cannabis cultivation. The drawback to the GOOD LED lights is their lack of penetration. There are many factors that effect penetration, but when it comes down to it, nothing will help/hurt it more than the actual wattage. And again I concur with KawiZZR, as I would recommend an absolute minimum of 2 actual watts per diode.

It's worth noting that the 2w actual power draw were talking about will be advertised as 3w or, in some cases, 5w diodes. This is because the diode is capable of 3w or 5w respectively, but in the interest of reliability they are throttled down to ~2 to 3 'actual' watts.
 
most of the new 2011/2012 3w chipset can run at about 1.9-2.1w output, but everyone above is correct those are inexpensive for a reason and will not deliver the results you see with those growing with 3w or better chipsets. Cancel, return, or if you have to pawn it off on ebay to somebody else and cough up a bit more dough for a 3w grow lamp. A solid 3w or better chipset led from a good company will pay for itself over the next three years and then some.
 
I was a big advocate of the red and blue led grow lighting for a long time. I switched over to the iSunlight leds from My Indoor Garden and the results have been really great. I have the 50 watt, 100 watt and 600 watt from them. They mix three different kelvin temps to replicate a switchable ballast full spectrum scenario. They are much better to work under or near than the red and blue and the results seem faster than older led grow lighting. Resin production is absolutelt threw the roof and the yields are very comaprable if not identical to HID. I like the customer support with them and they are decent to talk with on the phone.
If you look carefully at the PAR sensitivity graph.....you can see why the red and blue and plasma have a hard time competing with HID. HID....regardless of its efficiency downfalls is extremely useable when looking at the PAr charting....the HID (and fluorescent too) fall under,within,or just slightly out of "bounds" on the graph....while led and plasma spike off into to virtually "too much". Add the morpholigical changes that occur under red and blue leds and its easy to see why people have a hard time with them.

Very expensive aren't they? If they work for you, good ahah! But it is a dirty joke to be honest, the price. It also makes the whole concept of blu and red under analysis; Well it is already.. I believe a combo of whites and reds and few blue is a good direction.. but no one has the best formula, just yet. I can feel pretty exting years for leds and agriculture

I'd like to see some pics of your grow and leds. Do you also use co2 in your setup? I am liking the sound of the built in co2 intake point connected to the unit's fans
 
any body here running a mag plus?
what distance u have light from canopy? grow perfect recommend 30 to 22 inchs but ive noticed so far best growth is 30inchs and further away i.e 30 to 36 inchs. bottoms my plants r alot fatter then the canopy. much bigger. so the light has some penetration
 
The iSunlight have co2 distribution points on the tops of the lights. I run the co2 in 2 small veg rooms with the 50 watters and also with the 100 watt. I use the co2Boost Buckets. For smaller areas they absolutely crush. 15 minutes on every hour works for me.
I run the White leds back away from the canopy further than most would probably do but at 18 inches away with 50 watts I have no stretch and steady even internodal lengths. Im trying the iSunlight 100 watt on a small cabinet grow to see how much I can produce under a 100 watt white led. Should be interesting.
Leds need distance and many people dont adhere to that. There needs to be a blend of light and where the leds are so PAR intense....distance tones them down to really nice growth rates....just takes some playing around.

BTW I called an led manufacturer and asked about led pricing. The most expensive led to make ......is the white. Explains the prices.
The one thing that is much different about the white led grow lighting is the temp at the glass and also the "guts". The whites run way cooler than the red and blue leds....maybe its because they use 3 watt leds or the new heatsinks from Japan. ???

Hey all, just got my new blackstar and only half the leds on it work. How can i get this warranty they have, who should i be contacting. Thanks all
 
I had the same issue an opened mine up and it was as simPle as plugging in to cords that were disconnected. Contact where you purchased it as well

Good luck. Not the best customer service. I heard one guy tried to return a few because he didn't like them and the guys at Lighthouse Hydro threatened to call the DEA on his location.
