Led yields..

This ratio stay incomplete and don't mean much for a bunch of applications (com. grow, breeding, decisionnal).
You can have high gr/watts ratios and a pretty bad yield if time is not counted (it's watt/hour anyway the measurement ^^)

Take a SOGger in a 4x4, 600HPS. If he's not good, he will make around a third of oz per clone in the smallest pots. In this context, let's explain he's not good because fresh, so the number of plants is limited to 50 per 4x4. Fems or clones doesn't matter, even if seeds are harvesting a bit more in more time ...

So it's a ~pound/4x4 on let's say a typical Skunk flo : 60 days. It give around 0.83gr/watt.
But ~100 oz / year.

Take a grower that SCROG his weed, a good one take one harvest to prepare before the switch. So 120 days, in the average scrog-growlog it's a lot more in general.

So it's again a pound/4x4 that give again 0.83gr/watt.
But it's ~50 oz/year.

Also the SCROG-weed is lot more expensive than the SOG one, but it's generally never entering in considerations ^^

A bunch in fact, and i'm serious ^^.
It's the only way to know if you screwed the round with too much water in the vegetal mass (too much cycles), then bad drying stats. Then a good yield that transform in a bad one in drying, except if you sell the nugs barely dried lool ^^
Could you expand on that regarding too much water/veg mass please? Sounds interesting

Yes, you're absolutely right. I should have chosen accuracy over brevity.

HPS has a huge spike in the orange and red portion of the spectrum with essentially no blue whereas the Mars SP3000R has a huge spike in the red part of the spectrum with essentially no blue.

The Mars SP 3000R is designed to replace an HPS light. It has a very similar spectrum and happens to throw off huge amounts of heat, as well.
I think emulating an HPS lamp is a fool's errand. I mean, why copy mediocrity?

Also, not to beat a dead horse or anything but HPS lights do tend to spike more towards the green and yellow.

I would like to see side by side runs done with various spectra because I'm a little out of date on the finer points of "modern" lighting. The last time I was deeply involved, it was pretty clear that higher CRI, color rendering index, was associated with better yields.

Each line have its own delta in term of "watering cycle". Then inside this line, variations of this delta.
It's a prevention against "one rule for every cannabis plant of the world".

Without entering in the cell's pressure and shit, just think about a tomato plant. Take an fresh hydro tomato and a fresh "vintage garden" tomato, just dry them. At the end the biggest weight still the vintage tomato, because there is more "flesh" than water.

This is a logical demonstration, it's not because you're in hydro that you will produce less dry weight ^^
It's like everything, the optimal dose is a learning curve.

And to you friend. It’s exciting using all this new tech.
Heh exactly ...
Quick question what is the brand of light u use ?
I will post a ljnk the one i found on amazon ... its like 320$.... I wanna make sure that I will get something good and do not mind spending more for right light ...

And my 2nd question would be .. how long u veg ur plant for to fill ir space up ... or how tall u have them before u flip to 12/12 .. tnx Brother ...
Here is that link for the light i found . Tell me ur thoughts about it . Tnx
