LEDS Soil Grow AI & 1024

lumens measure light output at the source, while candelas measure the light that falls on a surface. As the area of the surface increases, the number of candelas will decrease even as the number of lumens remains constant. So, they measure different things. Were hitting the hood with the 625-630 nm wavelength ideal for the red absorbtion and photosynthesis (660,000 mcd) and the 465-470 nm wave length ideal for the blue absorbtion and photosynthesis ( 2,600,000 mcd) the uv is off the photosynthesis scale with 400-410nm but hey its UV right just like the sun

How long was they in veggie? I am trying to figure out whether to leave them in veggie for a month or 7 days.

Veg stage 3 weeks top unless you fucked with them to much (sometime i do, top em, fim em) They send so much time in flower send them bitches right over, They stay toddlers in the veg, Big beautiful women in the flower room

So here is the whopping 3.25 gram harvest i got off what i think is the blue widdow could be blue hash but thinking its widow. Its sat in flower a week past sthat its supposed to BUT after i shit all over the plants with this stupid blooming stuff it was like 3-55-4 or some stupoid shit way to high I wished that we cloned it but oh well shit happens

Here is the next generation of led buds. These are clones (1024, and Alaskan Ice)2-4 weeks old, They are currenly under cfl and 2 plants florecence.

unfortunately i leave them in cfl until there is room on the flower table my led hood is only 36 by 24 so the coverage isnt the best but its great for the plants it reaches out to, I also have the 73 watt hood sideways next to the 300 watt hood like an L shape with mylar on te back wall for max light spread. If i could raise my hood higher then it would most likely that it would cover more square footage. I have those handful of clones under 2 plant grow cfl and 10 cfl's bright white, daylight, and softbright so it covers the blue through red spectrum. I would like the just led veg table and the hps/led flower table . 3 week in one 9-11 weeks in the other

Here's some Veggie picks. These 7 girls are under 10 cfl's and 4 florecent tubes and waiting totrade it for the led flower hood.

That really sucks you had to toss them out!! >.< they were lookin really nice too!

I did read most of this thread and I'm not sure if I saw in which type you had them wired, parallel or series? Or both? Talkin about the LEDs of course. Watching grows like this really make me think LEDs aren't for the future, they're here now! lol Plus they make the plants look awesome :P

Also another question I had for you, is that plexiglass that you drilled the holes into for the LEDs?

Thanks!

I know, it truly was one of the sadest days ever but safety over greed you know

Yes plexi, drilled 2 holes per led, ran up to 150 watts of led on one power source used on positive line every other row and used resistors to pull the wattage off the main vein really simple but it wasnt enough you need i would say 1000 1 watt leds on that same size hood AND an HPS if i ever move into a good position like maybe a legal grow with the green card. thats what i'll do make a 1000 watt led flower hood 500 red 300 UV 200 blue and at least 2 600 watt HPS the more angles you can have light come from. you eliminaten all shadow wich therefore promotes 100% photosynthesis.

If you don't mind me asking, what thickness was the plexi? And did you have any troubles with cracking or anything like that when you were drilling? Last but not least, what was the second hole for each LED used for? Seems a little odd why you would need 2 holes per LED, only reason I ask :)

And from what I understand, the .5w LEDs that are most commonly available run at only 20mA, while the 1w LEDs run at 300mA. Would this make it more difficult to do the wiring and whatnot? And I'm sorry I'm not really good with circuits and electricity and whatnot, I'm assuming your LEDs were set up in parallels and you used the resistors to regulate the current so none of the diodes burnt out?

Sorry for my noobness :P just trying to collect and much information as possible 'cause I don't wanna screw up!

Thanks again,

ok the led hung on the one side of the plexi and as far as the thickness i went with the cheapest. drill slowly and you will have no problem. let the plexi grab the bit dont force the drill bit into the plexi. one hole for neg prong and one hole for pos prong. lights on one side and all your resistors and power lines neg and pos. if you need help making a led i am more than willing to step by step you through. cheap led's cheap resistors bout a nickle a pop
