I just simply realized it was silly to argue over lighting, to each his own, if you get good results with what you use is all that really matters. I am truely sorry I started any kind of conflict about some silly light, now.......show me your tits! errrr, did I type that out loud? again, sorry.

Here's a real grower with real results. Maybe this will safe people a little time and lots of money. He's honest and has good records. Say, that doesn't look bad, 7.5 zips from one plant, I had one come in at over 8 zips under hps but 7.5 is pretty good for led.

thats a good amount i dont grow over 4 feet or try not too lol
so i pull about 3, 4 per plant growing 12 plants do the math
one person the occasnal qp to the despencery when money hurts
i last year round but i grow year round too so it just keeps coming
i dont smoke nearly as much as i grow i honestly grow cause its just scheer fun
i have a good paying job but growing is an art you know you perfact it everytime
i love it but damn i wish i was pullin 7-8 oz

Definitively, I was surprised by the yield. The grower feels as I do and doesn't care for the airy buds. He did one more after this and then went back to HID. Sounds like they would be good for vegging though.
From personal experimentation LED is ok if your growing in a very confined space and your worried about heat issues. However LED will take longer flowering cycle and longer veg cycle as well. In the long run it will produce good smoke in a smaller quantity. HPS will yield much denser buds but you need more square feet in order to deal with the amount of heat energy that they diffuse. Yet the flowering cycle and veg cycle will be reduced compared to LED growing and the buds will be 3 to 4 times larger depending on ambient conditions.
