Legal MJ - How is it working so far?

I am curious how things are going with that in CO and Washington? I feel like the government moves pretty slowly, so wondering what it is like in one of those states. I am in a very conservative state, so only grow occasionally. I feel like the federal government is going to have to make a decision sometime soon (Which may be a decade), about legalizing or not. So many states seem to be going that way in one way or another, I would hope it finally legalizes it. But back tot he legal states. I have been to Denver, when it was medical, but never had a problem getting good bud. Are there more places you can get this now? how is it regulated? Like has to be x feet from schools?
