Seeds started soaking last night, now germinating with wet paper towels. Assembled my 2x4 tent today, Will finish the light tomorrow - 10 Gen 1 Bridgelux EB strips (22") and a meanwell 285W driver (been sitting on them for a year, lol). Delivers 277 true watts to the strips.

Autoflowers for this grow, but will try a photoperiod next grow.

Trying an organic grow, soil is compost, worm castings from my bins, peat moss and coco coir, perlite, blood and bone meal, dolomite lime, seaweed extract, humic acid, trace minerals. It's been aging for a couple of months and smells sweet and earthy.

Now its time for a couple of bowls, watch some netflix, and then crash. Tomorrow will be another busy day for this old man.

If Canadian and you didn't buy those seeds from an approved supplier you're still a bandit. Read the fine print.

I am Canadian, and have read the fine print.

Try to imagine how much I am not worried about this technicality. Who could tell? Those mythical legal seeds, none of which are currently available for purchase in my province, all came from similarly "illegal" strains originally anyway. The BC government will just have to live without a 50% or so cut of the purchase price I paid.

Do you know how illegal plants/seeds can become legal in canada? A "Craft grower" with "illegal cannabis" strains just needs to issue a statutory declaration, in the prescribed form, and in conjunction with a grow license, and the plants/genetics magically become "Legal", and can be used/sold from a craft producer. Tight process, eh?

I've heard that if you don't answer yes to needing 'starter materials' when applying to grow medically you now have to explain how you intend to grow so I'm planning on saying I have high-CBD seeds I've been sitting on and will grow those.

Hard to shake the paranoia after 50 years of using/growing pot and looking over my shoulder tho. :)

Even more stupid laws now to protect the gov'ts takeover of the pot trade.

:peace:

Canada just opened up for the legal marijuana business. This week, the country legalizes recreational cannabis nationwide amid much anticipation from investors, companies, and consumers alike. Kahner Global plans to celebrate this milestone by hosting its 3rd Annual Cannabis Private Investment Summit in Toronto, where cannabis business opportunities will be up for much discussion. In general, people can light upon private property and in private residences.

Shoppers drug mart got a producers licence but won't be producing anything. They got it so they could sell flower, oils, seeds, and plants. It was on the news the other day

Yes, one family can grow 4-6 plants for most locations in this country, but some still grow a lot privately. lol :P

Where is this 6 coming from? Your are allowed 4 plants.
Under bill C-45 four plants is legal! But if you grow five or six plants its a $200 fine. Above that its becomes a criminal act. So is two more plants worth the risk of a $200 fine its your call.

Law just passed in Ontario that police can ask for a breathilizer test from anyone they have lawfully pulled over. If you refuse it's a criminal charge and fine of $2000.
A cop could make you blow anytime he or she pulls you over if they thought you were impaired or did not like the color of your skin the only change is that everyone must be tested during sobriety stops not just visible minorities or the people the pigs did not like the look of.

FYI these laws have been in force for years in the EU New Zealand and Australia and has reduced impaired driving in every nation.
