Legalizing marijuana a low priority for Liberals

It's a low priority now that he has everyone's votes. Just as I said, MAYBE by the end of first term, to make up for anything else that comes along the way before then. Time for him to be asked about this at every public speaking event he has until he is held accountable. He knows full well this is one of the major reasons he got elected by young and even new voters.
 
I dunno...it was the reporter who decided it was a low priority based on the fact it was mentioned near the end of the paper. It also says it was heavily redacted, so we really don't know what,if anything, was said. The amount of talk from the Liberals thus far, and the fact that they have formed a committee to move forward indicates it may be a higher priority than what the reporter suggests.It does mention the current situation with the medical issues have been forwarded to the justice minister, so at least someone is looking at us.

It was already stated by the Libs that this is low on their priority list and I mentioned this a few months ago right after the election.

As much as we may think this is a big issue most people don't and as a country dealing with low oil prices and the ensuing effects on the economy/jobs/dollar value, it really is low priority.

Even if they started moving it up the priority list legalization would be 2 years of bullshit politics at least.

So don't hold your breath and figure out a way to get it or grow it until it's settled. If it's important to you then stop whining and do something about it.

"Heavily redacted"?...they're workin' on something Rec IMO. But seriously, let's get MMJ settled up 1st.
 
Perhaps they're not going to be "separate"...what else is treated separate but the same? In my thinking, if it was going to be two separate issues, medical would have already been dealt with because there is already a program I place, albeit a shitty one.....liquor stores my medical friends, liquor stores.

I'm sure that is some dick's idea of medical need, but it ain't gonna fly. Personal recreational needs are not the same as medical needs. I think the history of supreme court rulings in our favour will guarantee medical will always be treated separate. I don't see legalization not including the right to grow a limited number of plants, and medical patients who have the need will get the exemption. Liquor stores may be 'a' retail distributor, but they won't have a monopoly.They can't force a recovering alcoholic to go to a liquor store for medicine, so that idea is dead before it starts. . We just need a little pressure from Ottawa to wake Phelan up from the coma.
 
We should be on the cutting edge. Giving hemp back to our farmers. Get our dollar out of the shitter. Be a world leader again. Abolish all the tree cutting and fuel waste. Hemp can take care of all that. Stop selling our water for pennies on millions of litres.
