alright guys i got 5 fem Lemon skunk seeds from GHS and im growing in 10L pots in Coco medium under a 600w hps light in a 1.4 x 1.4 x 2m tent.
I was wondering what you guys think of vegging for 3 weeks in 24 hours of light? should i get a good yeild from this or should i veg for longer??

any advice or information on previous experiences with this strain would be much appriciated

why only 3 weeks? 5 would be best from seed but all depends on your time limit, im in a bit of a situation now as my crop gonna be ready a week or so b4 i go on vacation so i can only do 4 but gonna leave light on 24/7

personally i wouldnt go with 24 hours of light, you'll get just as much growth and save alot of money on just 18 hours of light ,plus i heard plants use the dark period to grow aswell..and again personally i give the plants the chance to get 3 times bigger in flower so,rather than x amount of weeks, its x amount of height

I have a few ghs lemon skunks going as well I'm vegging for 4 weeks lsting and scrogging but I'm not a big fan of 24hr light I put it under 18/6 under a t5 light great growth so id suggest going 4 or 5 weeks veg unless height is an issue. and if your not lst'n or scrogging its a stretchy viney plant if let unattended which can be a bit of a pain. 5 lemons in a 1.2x1.2m is pretty good id suggest lst'n to maintain the stretchy viney growth

Thanks for all the replies.
So what is a reccomended hight before flowering? and yes i think im going to switch to 18 hours of light then as 24 hours is really burning electric + money.
Is it ok to switch to 18 hours now? or could this confuse the plant and cause it to start flowering?

cheers guys

no it shouldnt force flower not guaranteeing it though and the recommended height for flower all depends on yourself sativas dominants strech alot in flower as this is does so picture 3x the stretch first 2-3 weeks flowering and go off that

no it should be fine to do that ,the plant needs 12 hours dark to flower , just think it will just be like the longest days of summer has passed

ok thanks guys i dont mean to sound like a noob but what is "lst'n" ??
im going to make the switch to 18 hours of light and try and save on electric costs.
Would anyone be able to give me a rough idea of my predicted yeild if i was to only veg for 3 weeks and flower for 8? im in two minds whether to go for 3 or 4 weeks veg you see.
Time isnt really and issue but im just impatient to be honest but if it is going to make a big difference in the long run then ill go for 4.
????

not sure how much u will harvest all depends on how you grow it and lst'n is low stress training its simply tying down the top of the plant to allow the lower branches to grow up as tops its just a way to get more light onto the plant ill post a thread here in a moment

I'd say you really won't be satisfied if you only veg for 3 weeks
LS is stretchy though maybe u have height restrIctions... Go ahead and wait at least four weeks if u can its hard to guess yield that depends on you but def the longer the better
