That's a NO my friend, trust me that it should have been banned by the epa in the 90s..........things got stalled($$$$$) and it's still on the market(eu banned it awhile ago). Family farms won't use dichlorvos, worried about their children's safety, that should tell you everything.

bifenthrin is what I use on the perimeter of the grow closet, food crop approved for decades(corn/hops), do not spray with beneficial insects around!.........if i get any issues during flower, neem oil/rosemary oil/TJ's dish soap cures all, it's still systemic so avoid late and during lights on,.....

Thanks for the interesting discussion on killing my banana plant's spider mites. I decided to go with some Safer Soap..it was 9 bucks, I think. Amazon Prime's free two-day shipping got that shit here today, and I ordered it Friday night! WTF? haha. Let's see if it kills the spider mites, and leaves the plant alive:)

Here's a quick update on the garden: The Liberty Haze (front right) is finally starting to grow, so that's good :) The Tangie x GTH (front left) is doing well so far with no issues. Both have shown sex and should start flowering soon. The Tangie in the back left is still coming along...but the clone I took died. Dang. I've gotta practice a little and figure out the way that works best for me, I guess.

Yes, do it twice more, about a week apart. What you'll be getting are hatchlings from the eggs that didn't die when you sprayed the first time. The idea is to kill THEM before they mature enough to lay eggs themselves.
 
I live in the woods and pest invasion is a constant threat. I use what I must when I must. I love neem, soap is good. Soap with pyrethrin is real good. Whatever works in the safest manner.

I also dust the soil surface with diatomaceous earth and on the first inch of the stem. Also use DE on tent floor. I never run out of this stuff. Very helpful!

Remember that it doesn't often rain indoors so I do rinse my buds. That takes care of residues and dead bugs and eggs. THSEE isn't water soluble so no harm. Checked this out with a microscope.
 
DE is wonderful stuff , even adds important silicon uptake to the plants if your running beni bio activity in coco or soil
I use a rose duster to fog the plants in veg mist down 1st & it sticks
gives the 1000 cuts'o death to the suckers & crawlers
But what i use now is lady bugs
not had a mite or insect issue / problem since
mites come into the room on your clothes & on the pets as well

At 80f eggs can hatch in as little as 3 days and the babies can lay eggs in another 5 days. I recommend spraying every 3 to 4 days with 3 total applications.
 
haha, it is... i did that last summer. there's a pic of mite devastation way back in this thread. thankfully they were only on that damn banana plant this time and nowhere else:)
 
I used predatory mite , they'd chase huge amounts of mites to the leaf tips & they emass would cling together like a big drop of say honey but it would quiver & move weird Then the weirdest ever I seen large spiders galloping to eating them on a few plants (this was in my greenhouse ,summer gro 2 years ago )
seen a wasp doing the same
yeah that gro was a disaster , the pred's couldn't keep up . safer soap was a Joke
weird part only certain strains got hit , Bubba Kush no damage ,Purpleberry was eatin' alive GSC no damage JTR eatin up good
this last summer ; lady bugs And I got rid of any & ever carrier plants (like yer pet nanana )
no Mites at all new jar of L/B each week till September
the spiders we B fat !
 
Spider mites don't scare me. Russet mites are real live motherfuckers. I don't think they can be killed via organic methods so if you have to pass a pesticide test, you might as well cull the batch, sterilize the room and fucking start over.
