My cleaning guy at work wrote "let's go Brandon" on the dry erase board in my office (where the customers could see it). I had to explain that as much as he enjoyed acting like he was in the fifth grade, he was at work. That it was the same as writing Fuck President Joe Rob, and that was the sort of thing that got you fired. He ask me not to mention it to anyone.

A bit more to the point, I’m thinking that the steady drizzle of right-troll accounts comes from one or two aggrieved users.

That, or the level of conformism achieved onto such a large percentage of a population would delight a religious cult leader, followed by envy.

Should someone smarter and smoother he a hold of this base larger than and almost as regimented as the People’s Liberation Army, we are in deeper trouble than the throat-high stuff we’re in now.

A large segment of Americans has been successfully seduced into equating the would-be authoritarians with the rescuers of an imperiled liberty. It’s the rhetoric that made the Civil War longer and much bloodier than anyone expected.

To a MAGA, freedom denotes its possibly exact opposite. The sheer size of the shared delusion suggests to me that I don’t know people well at all. Maybe that is not entirety a bad thing.

Shared mass delusion is a normal part of the human condition, remember religion? A meditation practice and some basic theory helps to understand peoples motives. When we understand what drives us, we can understand what drives others since the normal operate pretty much the same way with variations. Donald is easy to figure out and predict, there ain't much to him and he is driven by lust, hatred and greed and nothing else. Normal folks are driven by compassion, wisdom and generosity much of the time.

This is Buddhist psychology (roots of mind), but it has largely been validated by modern psychology and shrinks are it's biggest fans. We operate on conditioned feelings that drive emotions and then thinking, while setting the priorities of consciousness. In animals first came feelings, then the higher emotions influenced by attachment and socialization, finally came reasoning ability and all higher animals have that to some degree. We spent most of our human evolution as part of tribes or clans, humans are highly social animal that cannot survive outside of a social context, this has a much greater impact on our minds and behavior than the thin veneer of civilization, most northern Europeans were tribal until a few thousand years ago. Anyway that is Buddhist geekery and I'm a Buddhist geek! :lol:

Oh there are a lot of good ole boys who smoke and grow dope, most American white males are racists and there are some lurking here, but not posting, there are many more on the grow threads though. I find most users here are older males and politics is populated by the middle aged and seniors for the most part, myself included. Most republicans find this place difficult, they have to defend the indefensible and always lose debates. Honorable people don't disagree on obvious facts, but these people do and I haven't seen an honest one show up here yet.

Lol. Most American White Males are racist? I'm almost not sure if you're trolling or...plain stupid.....For sanity... I'll assume thats your opinion....Because I know you cant produce reputable data supporting that statement, and furthermore who is left to be the arbiter of what actually defines a person to be 'racist'??? Try using paragraphs, the statistics on this are clear, most white American males are racists, around 70%. Most white males voted for Trump and only a race driven fool would do that, whether they admit it to themselves or not, there was no other reason to vote for a psycho like Trump. This bullshit is about racism and nothing else, it's the glue that holds the republican tribe together. That's what they are, a tribe of racist traitors who put hate before country and constitution.

This thread is about American politics, I don't give a shit what Chinese men think or how they operate their country. Trump is an authoritarian crook and his supporters are just suckers.
