Not growing this now, but from a couple years back. Strain was Malawi, a landrace sativa. Just too hard to finish sativa dominants outdoors here in the Pacific NorthwestView attachment 4307744 View attachment 4307746
Isn’t it crazy how big those beautiful plants are and it’s literally in the woods and I’m betting you didn’t have to do much to get them that big. Then you read through post here and people can’t figure out how to get a plant to grow in an optimum environment with out suggesting to dump a whole crap ton of different chemicals on them or acid in their water and then wonder why their plant is yellowing it just blows my mind how people over complicate growing weed and then give bad advice.

For sure. These were actually grown in 7 gallon pots with organic soil, but I'm sure they would've grown a lot bigger if I had them in the ground. But yeah, it's funny the first time you grow - you worry about so many things and nit pick every little thing, over-complicating it. Then with experience, you learn to just let them grow and do their thing. Just grow in a really good soil, and maybe feed some compost tea here and there.....not rocket science! lol

I know these look like crap. Damn sativa's are finicky and these have been crammed to the back of the tent and neglected. Oldtimers Haze from ACE Seeds. And they've been in flower for three months! And another two to go. The smoke better be damn good. I wish I had the climate to grow these outdoors but there is no way they would finish. They sure are a bitch inside a tent. Maybe one scrogged but the flowering time is insane. 16 - 24 weeks. I remember that line "Patience Grasshopper". I"m running out of patience. I don't know what I was thinking when I started these. But I'm glad I did. The one on the right has a couple branches loaded with seeds. The males are long gone but their offspring will live on for years.

It's not crazy. It's becoming the norm. Didn't you get the memo? Cannabis is a super special plant that requires fairy dust and super duper bloom boosting additives or else it won't grow. If you don't use a dozen bottles of stuff with fancy looking labels your plants will die.

Got pretty big did it?

My 4' x 4' x 7' just isn't the best place to grow a sativa that has the potential to get over twelve feet tall. But they're really starting to stink now. A lemony pine scent. Can't wait for them to finish.

I bet it was damn fine smoke and something you're only going to have the pleasure of enjoying if you grow it yourself. I have some Malawi seeds. They're coming up on my list.

And I'm still supercropping the Oldtimers Haze. Have to turn the plants every other day. It's a hassle but the end result should be worth it.

Good luck with finding many ppl with a TRUE pure sativa these days. Welcome to a hybrid world lol.
Yeah.. I got wild Thailand from WOS, does not look 100% Sativa..

How can I get a 100% sativa? I was looking at a study today and Dr. Grinspoon seeds today that can sometimes grow as decent buds rather than beads but can also smell like cat piss (blegh).
