i have made bho about 20 times...(thanks to a member here who has an awesome tutorial in a thread...i will see if i can find it) people LOVE it..but it is a pain in the ass...buying 100 cans of butane is not cheap...the product is extremely sticky and difficult to work with...must be done outdoors... for some reason the smell of of the butane when extracting attracts flies ..some will land in your pyrex and contaminate the product....i am going to try dry ice next time.

id do it on your porch, or leave the kitchen fan on as well as all your windows, if you got good airflow and you get all the bongs and shit out of the vicinity you should have to worry about blowing up.

i just don't take any chances..i wait for a nice day and go outside and let her rip... i am probably going to wait until i can buy or build an extractor that recycles the butane before i run any more and do dry ice in the mean time.....i am kinda paranoid when i make bho..i keep my cell phone inside and have nothing close to me that can spark...

This is what we do to mouldy buds. Thats a glass bread pan.
I've learned that if you heat your material is becomes quite liquid
and can be poured into various things. Great way of getting
every last bit out of your glassware.

There is absolutely nothing like the odour of terpines coming
off 230 degree hash oil when you're decarbing it.

i see what you mean, as long as youve got air flow you shouldnt have a problem although. that sounds like a sweet extractor though, pm if you find a way. i may try dry ice has soon as well, just gotta wait till september to harvest.

220 micron bag is too big and is why your hash is green and not blonde like it should be. nicely pressed medallions though!

edit: for reference, bubble bags, 220 micron is the same size as the work bag which is the very first pull that holds the plant material.

i have seen one in person...but i have seen a couple on the net.. i know a guy in colorado who has a patent pending on his for a few years now..he has a few prototypes built and they work amazing....they don't look like too much to build. i have hear they run about 1,500$

i bought some cheap bubble bags on ebay for 25$ few months back..not real impressed...i did like 20 runs...the quality is just o.k....the work bag is 225 mc...the next bag is 100mc...and then a 25 mc bag...i will not run regular ice through that again..probably going to try the dry ice through the 100 mc bag and see what happens.

son of a bitch, you gotta be pretty committed to hash to spend that much dough. probably well worth it if your an avid BHO smoker though.

you get what you pay for i hear with bubble bags. theres sets that have 8 bags, those are legit. but they are a little expensive

i think 8 bags is way overkill ...4 bags at most should be plenty...the price difference in bags is the stitching i believe and the actual quality of the bag...i knew they would not last real long..but i did not care..because i could make a pound of bubble in those cheap bags if i wanted to for 25 dollars...i made probably 3 ounces and stopped, but i could keep using for another 50-60 runs if i wanted..got my moneys worth no doubt.

I've got some trim I'm going to make some more dry ICE hash out of. I just got done trimming all the buds from my Strawberry Cough harvest. I plan on using 100 Micron bag this time. I made some bubble hash too and it came out great. I forgot how strong Bubble hash is and It kind of overwhelmed me I was stuck on the couch in a little ball not able to move. LOL Then I fell asleep and when i woke up it was day time.
