Let's talk serious SCROG

I hate to agree with legally on this one, as it is one of his more tasteless posts, but he's right, re-vegging is bad news.

Marijuana is an "annual" plant species, meaning; its sheds seeds at the end of the year and dies, mixing up its DNA to adapt to changing environments. "Tricking" a marijuana plant into thinking winter never happened and summer is back goes against its genetically determined reproductive cycle. The plant will repair its self and even flower again but the potency and weight of the flowers will be lacking. Most of the mass of the plant has also been removed during harvest, if the roots are not also cut back they will cost the plant more energy than it can photosynthesize, ending in root death and rot.

I have had friends try to re-veg and I have watched them waste months trying to bring a plant back, get it vegged up and re-flower. On every occasion my friends have come to me and said "Don't do that, it was awful". That has been good enough for me to never try it.

Sorry but that question keeps getting asked and asked and asked and well, its just a pretty stupid question in general. As your well aware, I'm all about helping informed growers become more informed but when people can't even do a little research, I mean just a tiny bit to answer a question, it tends to get under my skin. Find me one thread where people agree that re-vegging is a good idea?

Anyways, ok, its not JUST for homosexuals. Its for idiots as well.

I looked for this answer before I asked but......... I bought some Dip n Grow today and when I read the instructions 2 things, this stuff is dangerous to use (thinking of using something else) and how do I determine if cuttings are hardwood, semi-hardwood or softwood/succulents more over what does those terms mean as applied to mj ?

Dip N Grow worked fine for me, just dip your cutting in the dip n grow as if it was cloning gel then place in medium.
 
Yeah just dip and stick. You will be fine. It actually works just as good as the gel, maye even better depending on what your cloning in.
 
probably didn't make myself clear, sorry about that, it says put in power to line, then if hardwood add water to 5x line, if semi=hardwood to 10x, softwood/suculents 20x..... those terms as they apply to mj is where I have a problem....

Had to chop down one of the two Afghan/skunks that made up the U shaped scrog, it had been ph locked and I figured just flush it and move on, I don't plan on growing that strain again so no real loss. Now I can focus on the monster Violator kush plants in my 4x4 tent.

Cheeky fucker! I was planning on doing exactly this next time round, just a hell of a lot more training!

I wana do a grow like the current one ive got going on, but have the screen going up vertically, with a HID on each side, plant in the middle. I'd then fill the entire screen up on both sides and have buds branching out like u have but on both sides all the way up. That way i can still do a crazy scrog whilst utilising all the height ive got at my disposal.

Could grow some SUPER scrogs like this, and really utilise space and light to the fullest.

You're the first person i've seen attempt something like this.
