light and vent set up in 8x4x8 room

hi guys i'm new to the forum but i am getting ready to start my 3rd grow and i'm upgrading my light set up room everything. i'm going with 2 x 600watt cool tubes and a 8 inch carbon filter and an 8 inch inline duct fan. is an 8 inch duct fan powerful enough to pull air through my carbon filter and both lights? or should i pull air through my filter and push filtered air through the lights? my first two grows were from a strain that doesn't have a funky aroma when flowering. so no ventilated was needed and my room was kinda ghetto set up lol. any info is well appreciated!!!!!
 
sounds like you should be good, add a cheap 6" inline fan in the middle of the lights if you dont feel the 8" is cooling the lights enough
 
i got just a few more questions. if i'm wanting to pull air from two rooms. first room being veg and second larger room being flowering room. could i just put a booster fan in the veg room and wye pipe ducting from the lights to the veg room? and would i use a damper in a solid constructed room? and should i use a booster fan in my veg room to push air towards the inline fan?
 
ive done a lot of research but i just want to make sure i'm good before i start setting it up. ill post pictures once its up will be a few weeks though.
