light bulb just powerful enough? will it do?

i have a 60watt 140volt bulb that get really hot is this a good bulb for growing? its also made by GE any help would be appreciated and thank you all i want it to do is give me yield whatever amount it is will this bulb at least bless me with some buds?

sorry, you will get nothing with that light. weed is kinda particular about the kind of light it needs. if you're just fooling around and trying to grow a little i would suggest compact fluorescent lights (CFL). if you've decided to make this a long term hobby then i would suggest you invest in a high pressure sodium (HPS) light. lots of other things you need to know to grow can be found in the faq and stickies on this site.
