Light bulbs??

hi i dont have to most experience with buying light builbs typically with my fixtures i just buy the clone that burned out

http://www.ebay.com/itm/390494178348?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2648 i dont beileve comes with bulbs so what do you suggest i get i looked on htg i cant justify spending 70 bucks on a bulb 140 for both mh and hps when thats more than i would spend on the whole fixture

will say a run of the mill 12$ phillips or a sylvania work as say a 70$ agromax or growbrite pros cons?

some people will say yes, and others, such as myself, say the brand of bulb makes a big dffierence.. there was once a thread on here where someone did a side by side and showed the difference in a grow between cheaper brand bulbs and the higher priced bulbs, and the difference between the plants was more than enough for me to justify spending the extra money on the name brand's

the major difference you''ll see in bulbs is in their spectrum of light they put out.. better brand bulbs usually have a better spectrum suited more for growing cannabis than simply lighting a dark warehouse ime..

do you have a preferred brand that falls somewhere in the middle or a good place to buy bulbs?

i will not spend 70 dollars on a light bulb they are smoking some serious drugs if they think im gonna dish that much out for a light bulb

I dont know if I would trust used grow lights off of ebay. I am searching for my first time for these types of ligths but am not sure exactly what to purchase. Are sun bulbs the way to go? I found this website but am not sure what to add to the shopping cart. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I also am a believer in the better bulbs. I used to run the cheaper brand 1K bulbs, and for this grow I bit the bullet and bought a Hortilux bulb for $125 + Tax. I am more than satisfied with the results. Some strains I have been running through the last 3 grows, and I can really see the difference. I will never go back to the cheaper bulbs.

does anyone know about apollo horticulture products? i am running a 600w fan cooled digital ballast and hps bulb made by them.... or by whomever is contracted in china to manufacture goods for them..... :-/ should i worry about my dog looking directly at the light? i think she is "sun bathing" ....that crazy corgi.

Hortilix is the only bulb I've blown in my digital ballast thus far.. loved it for the month or so it worked though.. now in run either digilux or sun pulse.. have also heard great things about ushio although I've never personally used them (yet)..
