LIGHT BURN or NUTE BURN?

i tried looking around the forum to found some pics similiar to my problem, but couldnt, i found some nute burned plant pics(different from my problem), so im leaning towards "LIGHT BURN" i have a 400 watt HPS light about 1 1/2 foot above the tops of my plants, the plants are off to the side a little(not directly under it) i didnt know what else to do, maybe move the LIGHT higher if it is BURNED? i dont know for sure, some1 please help YA BOY out

65. would that have something to do with this problem?? my HPS light is now about 3 feet from the tops on my plants, i also didnt put the plants directly under the HPS until they heal up

i was just wondering about the humidity. i keep my 400 watt between 12 and 18 inches away and dont have anything that looks like that. in pic #3 that top, is it all crispy and dry? whats the temp. in your room. looks like some heat stress. do you have a circ fan? and how bout an exhaust fan too?

the heat has gotten to 100 degrees one day a while back(2 weeks ago), but its usually between 74-85 degrees. i have a small fan inside the grow room blowing out & a large box fan blowing air in; my HPS light is now about 3 feet away from the tops on my plants (just until they HEAL UP) then i may move the light a lil closer, this is like the 2nd or third time this has happened the these plants WILL THIS MESS UP MY YEILD???

looks like heat stress from the light... try to move the heat away from the top of the plants by hanging a fan at plant hight. this method works great if you have the rom to work with for hight

your plants wont "heal up", theyll kinda stand up and look healthy, but any burned brown parts will still look the same

should i go ahead & cut the burnt leaves off? i think i will

if they are burned to where you can crush them with ya fingers ya top it , if that is what is burned THE TOP, it will make more tops , but ya put a fan on them, I have a fan from walmart that sits on the floor I think it was like 10 bucks, that is the only fan I have and it keeps temps down to about 75 where the tops of my plants are, keep your temp gauge the same height as your plants, this will let you know if your running hot.

edit: just seen I am a month late lol, where are the pics, or have I missed them.
