Light cycle issues

Due to rolling blackouts in my area my plants' light cycle is all screwed up.

I have two plants both about a week old each. I started one with 12/12 and the other has been on 18/6. The veg plant first missed the first two hours of light then another two hours about 8 hours into it's day cycle. The flowering plant missed the first 4 hours of it's day cycle.
I currently have them both around lights right now continuing their normal cycle. I guess my questions are this: 1. What is the best solution to this problem (should I keep on going with the cycle as if nothing ever happened?)? 2. How damaging is this to my plants?

PS: first post, would like to say hello to everyone!

I'd keep em going, but in the future I'd put some kind of light on them. I don't know how rolling blackouts work and if you'll be aware when the lights will go off, but at the least, I'd put a flashlight or something in there to keep them going. I've got a big roadside type flashlight with a fluorescent bulb in it. It's not much, but it would be enough to keep the plants "awake". Hell, even an incandescent flashlight bulb would be better than nothing.

Good luck.

Thanks for the help, guess I'll just keep doing what I'm doing.
Now time to find that flashlight...
