Light keeps shutting down?

I just moved my stuff from point A to point B amd my equipment sat for less then a month. Anywho im started a lil tent up and im having trouble with either my ballast or my bulb. Its a 1k bulb i got it on a digi lumatek 600 w. And everytime i fire up the light it gets all warmed up and then it kinda flickers and then just shuts off.. What do u think the problem is? Like i said i was using this about 3 weeks ago amd got half way threw a grow and hadda move out bt had no problems.

you cant run a 1k bulb in a 600w ballast

thermal cut off... the ballast is heating up too much and cutting itself off... try removing the ballast from the tent and get a fan on it to see if that helps.. nut yes, you should be running a 600w bulb in your 600w ballast... lighting 101...

Damn dint even think of that cause i had the 1000 watt dimmed to 600 on the other ballast but that was a 1k ballast. Anywho i just switched my bulb andnproblem solved thanks again guys +rep
