light leak question.

What would someone say is enough light leak to stress out a plant during flower. Light leak as in a small amount of light constantly shining on the plant or for example less than a second light leak of my phone ringing and the screen flashing next to the plant? Just curious cause its light leak stress that messes up the flowering not a quick light leak that came and left?

your example would not harm the plant at all. when i started i was paranoid about light leaks but it turns out you have to have a pretty bad leak to mess up the plants.

I should take a pic soon of my light leak and see what people think... its just the gap under my slider door in my room and the veg room that it leaks from turns off 3 hours later so it is pitch black after that. your phone wont affect a thing tho! its all good

Maybe it had a bit too much nitrogen. I know that those branches were covered by the big ones, so instead of trimming I moved em around.

I feel that people often blame other issues on minor light leaks. Fact is my tent has a screened intake that's like 1.5' x 0.5' and it's facing a window that lights up every morning, and my plants are a very low scrog setup so there is definitely a little light getting to them. Haven't had any problems at all from it. Growth has been good and steady.

Edit: Just realized this doesn't really address your post... but I'll leave it up anyway, food for thought.

Wow really? That makes me feel better, my tent has those passive intake screens. I just did a lot of research and went on and tried my first grow. I use the internet for my research and lots of people seem to stress light leaks a lot. Im sure Im just paranoid.

Well my experience has been that it's not a crucial issue... I would make an effort to face the screened intake away from light sources if possible, but I would not stress about (for instance) using the room the tent is in and keeping a lamp or overhead light on in the same room if that's what ya need to be doin'... just my experience though... maybe someone else will chime in.

to dark of a green can indicate a N overdose. lighten up on it a lil and see what happens.

Ya, I was giving it a lil grow big after 30 days. Then I stopped and slowly introduced tiger bloom but we'll see from here. I didn't wanna flush scared of taking food away.

dont flush until final flush. Look at my plants... I feed nutes everyday. no plane water until final flush
