Light Leaks During Veg?

Are light leaks during veg harmful or stressful on the plant? I do 18/6 but I'm doing some interior work and there's no door on the room at the moment, so it has a constant light leak from ambient light in the other room. Not bright, but it's there. Occasionally I have to go in the room and turn on the room lights (not the grow lights), interrupting the dark cycle. Is this a bad thing during veg? Am I on the road to hermie town?

Veg is the best time for this. You can leave your lights on for 24 hours during veg if you want to.

Once flowering hits....No Light at all in dark period. So get ur interior work done now before flowering time.

I pretty much figured that this was the case but I thought to myself, should the plants be getting several hours of complete darkness as a rest period? And if they have gotten used to the 6 hours of darkness and then I start interrupting that, will that piss them off? I myself am used to sleeping between 7-8 hours a night, and if someone only let me sleep 3 before waking me up, I'd sure be grumpy...and would eventually turn into a hermaphrodite!

Its not ideal but it works.
Plants are like cats - they don't like changes.
While in veg you won't get hermies and such but giving them their beauty sleep at the same time for the same duration (or gradually changing it) will result in less stressed out plants which in turn will grow faster and healthier.

You'll need to solve it soon anyway as in flowering they will not tollerate it. I say solve it sooner.

Cheers.

The dark cycle during veg stage is permissive, however, the flowering cycle is unforgiving. Turning on the closet light is a no no during flowering.
Get a green, low wattage light and use it only when absolutely necessary.
green light has no effect on cannabis.
Hang a curtain over the doorway to block ambient light.

i had the same question about light leaks during veg to man.

i don't know if anyone said this because i haven't read any other post yet. but no in nature during the end of summer the days are shorter, the plant thinks fall is coming when you put it on 12/12 and it starts its last stage of life flowering.
