Light mover for my veg space, advice please

Thought I'd post this in this section as well.

My mother tray was a 2 X 3.5 tray but I was always running out of space. I just added a second 2 X 3.5 tray next to it. (Restricted narrow space). I just got a 6 inch air cooled hood, Hortilux 1000 bulb and a Sun Ballast for $150 and the guy threw in a nice Jupiter Lighter mover.
Yet another Craigslist score ! For my mothers I am just using a 600 watt HPS. I was thinking I could use the mover and not have to add a second light since its just for the Moms. So I hooked it all up and it seems pretty cool but the ends dont get any good light when the mover is on the oppisite side
I only have the light moving 3 feet total 1.5 feet each way from center. Was surprised to see how little there was. Was thinking about adding a 42 watt CFL on each end to help a little but dont know if its really needed. I need thick healthy cuttings for my clones and hope this wont make them too stretchy. I get more then enough cuttings off the single tray but not enough room for all the strains.

any thoughts, input, advise ?

Thanks

Hmm, should be coverage considering its only moving 3 feet. Do you have the hood perpendicular to the length of the tables? AC hood typically don't give shit for light from the short ends (the ends with the ducts). I have a similar problem 3.5 x 5.5' and a 600 and used a mover last round with a super sun II. Decided that a magnum XXXL was the way to go. That would be an even better set up with your 1000 watt bulb. I ended up getting an adjust a wing as temps are not a problem in this area and has a slightly better spread but if you want to stick with AC then the magnum is likely the answer (if it will fit).

Make sure you have your side walls plastered with mylar. Your going to have lots of light spillage out the sides but it won't matter soo much if you maximize reflectivity.

Hello, yes Hood is perpendicular. It is a air cooled hood but I am not using the ducting on it so its just a hood. Bulb is actually a 600 watt. I just bought the 1000 with the mover for another area. An issue that might decide for me is I can hear the mover upstairs above the mover. Not really bad but you can really hear it. So I might just put my 4 bulb T5 on one side and the 600 on the other side. I am already using the T5 setup right by this table for some clones but could just add a couple 30 watt CFLs for rooting those and move it to this tray.
