Light Mover Pause Times: Opinions Needed

Searching the threads on light movers, there's not a lot mentioned on pause times, so...who does what? I've got mine set for about a five second pause at each end as the light is fairly close to the canopy. Running 1000K on a large Adjust-A-Wing with a Light Rail 2.0 over 32 5 gallon soilless pots in a 4' x 8' grow area.

i just switched to a agra light mover. i have two 4x8's and I was running 2 1000w's over each. now I have just one adjust a wing over each. I got the model that only has a 30 sec option on it. and thats because the light is constantly hitting the center of the tables more than the ends are being hit. ofcourse I set my light up to go almost the full 8 feet instead of the 6 like most people have....i guess. I've heard that people have to move plant sights around that don't have a timer for it to stop at the ends. the have to rotate the plants at the ends out with the center ones. they say a 30 sec delay helps avoid the need for this.

thanks. I know another grower (sfguy?) that insists pauses causes plants at the ends to become larger, however I understand each grower has different experiences which is the point of this thread. :-o

PS running a 6' rail using NtyR length also rota8

well this info was from the company that makes them. I'm not so sure myself. but I'm always thinking that I have a better way of doing something. so this time I thought wtf I'll just do what they say should be done and see how it turns out. i'm really interested to see what my yield difference will be dropping half my lights. someone on another post said a buddy of his went from, from what I understood from him, 3 1000w's over a tray or grow area down to one and they only noticed a 4 gram difference. if thats true, then YEAH BUDDY

Zzzzzzzzzzzz.......Hello?

Anyone?

Must say, not too impressed of late w/ the RIU forums. Sure, community forums are imperfect groups of like minded individuals pooling knowledge and resources, yet the attitudes displayed, lack of respect, plagiarizing the work of others, statements that are scientifically unsound (starving your plants during the last two weeks of flowering....really?), and simply a less robust information base have been a bit disappointing. As well, the lack of active moderation of the boards has the forums mucked up with silly arguments and nonsensical threads.

Signing off,
