Do you guys recommend plugging in cfls vertically from the roof of a grow box? Or rather have them above plants horizontally . Horizontally exposes the whole side of the cfl wich is good.,but thinkk about all the light your wasting above the plant..its tricky.watta u guys thiunk? Will giv rep for a good response let's hear em

CFLs are so ceel to the touch you can get them right beside your plant vertically they get inside outside upside down. Everywhere.

The Berenstein bears had a book called inside outside upside down.

+rep if you can tell me what the little bear rode in while riding in the pickup truck going to town...inside outside upside down?

ok, cfls are more useful vertically, if at top of growbox will need to make a reflector to reflect light back down. what i did was cut a lil piece of cardbroad and put foil on it and hooked the light to it. now all lights are focused on plants.

those tube flouros are fine to hang verticly near the plant . just make sure u have enough lumens .
also , it will be best if ur going on with this setup to either hang tube flouros from one side and put the plant near a reflector at the other side.
or just put another tube flouro at the other side

if u use CFL's above the plant , make sure theres are reflectors around the plant to make sure the light would reach every part of the plant.

if it was informative enough , please +rep to who ever helped u

Measure you sq ft of the grow area and then make sure you have around 3000 lumens for veg and 6000 lumen per sqft for flowering
More lumens the better. The sun puts out 10,000 lumens per sqft. You really want as many lumen as you can while keeping the
temps down.

Good Luck
