Light Question, Strong Enough?

Well im using a 15watt florescent grow light, so far its worked great for the seedling stage just started veg a couple days ago, i was just wondering if i should upgrade or not.

You should switch to cfl's at some point. the tubes spread the light out too much.

yes upgrade..150 w cfl's or a 250 hps would be great.

15w is not nearly enough light for thte whole grow

All of the above are correct, you need more light. Most people say to have at least 3000 Lumens per square foot. For instance my grow space is 2X3, so 6 sqft. This means I need at least 18000 Lumens for it to be "good lighting". Right now my cfl's are putting out 26000 Lumens. Hopefully this helps a little bit. Keep posting and good luck.

thanks for all the input. I recently just bought another light and well i know im going to have to get a new light when it comes flowering time.

I think you need more light. I used a 400w Metal halide for veg then 400w HPS for flowering so far working a treat. the space is about 4 feet by 4 feet.

yeah im just probably going to buy some cfls and maybe a hps when flowering time comes.
