Light Rail

Been thinking of using a light rail.....Wanting some input on the growers that are using them.....I can put in two 6 ft rails with 600w lights and use only two lights instead of six lights.....should knock down my electric bill.Doing great with my set up now.....but always looking for a better way to grow and save. I have a 11x12 grow area.....will try the 6ft rail for now, can get an extension for it later if needed....thanks....Pic of Jordan of the Islands Hash-berry.

Not enough light don't waste ur time or money. Maybe use 4 lights but 2 no way. Gl OG

up your light to a 1000w
that is a 5x5 area for the light ........if u put it on a rail that is 8 foot and set it to move
then do a 2nd 1000w ...same thing near the other wall u will have your area completely covered

4 lights would be better but 2 lights like that will do your whole 11x12
now i am not 100% sure because of the little dead time .........if u can maybe think about adding in some T5s the new set ups are bendable and shape able to cover the sides ....this would get u more even growth pattern

here is the break down for HIDS
400w great for 3x3 good 4x4
600w great for 4x4 good 5x5
1000w great for 5x5 good 6x6

with u covering 2.5feet from the wall on each of the rail that 5x5 on the 11 foot part of the room the 1x1 foot room in the middle will be great light to when 2 lights are overlapping but i would just keep it as a walk way
the 8 foot rail allows u to get close enough to the walls to make it great area too for a short time hence the side lights to keep the plants going........it should mimic the effect of partly cloudy day on the side but the center parts of the rail it would be like a bright sunny day with fast moving clouds
