Lighting advice

Hi all, I have a 55''x55''x84'' tent. Have a 900W Mars LED. Have 5 ladies in the tent, doing SOG. I find the plants directly under the LED's are really doing well. But the ladies on the ends not doing so well. Can someone advise me on what extra lighting I could use. Was thinking maybe add a 250 to 400 W, MH/HPS, or should I add more LED's.

Get a quality Cree or vero cob unit and you will never look back. Hps is archaic but will keep your tent warm. Done hps, cmh, cfl's and that damn blurple. Go to led section and get useful info. That Mars is no better than hps in efficiency. These cobs are a sunami in the plant lighting world.

Sooner or later most will be using these modern, full spectrum, efficient lights. Every hour spent using obsolete lights is only denying yourself the yield and quality you are after. Mars and other second and third tier blurples would rather baffle you with bullshit and bullshit reviews than choose to build quality gear. Don't get burned again!

I don't understand why people think they know LED's after trying blurple lights. You tried a 200w blurple against a 400w HPS, @medicalMonster.

Stop misleading people and yourself.

Research REAL cob lighting in the LED section. Many knowledgeable members to give you all the info you need.

Creating an optimal environment is very important for your plants. The new LED (non-blurple cobs) provide very intense lighting without increasing the temperatures too much. The lighting that the blurple lights provide are not used nearly as efficiently by the plants. Meaning you need more blurple to compare to HPS, whereas COBS are similar efficiency as an HPS light when you run Vero's.

A few threads will get you up to speed so you are not confused by biased opinions.

Good luck!
