lighting..(again)

so i've got my 250watt HPS lighting system (with no switch and im absolutely dumbstruck on what power supply i should be using) and i've also decided that once i've got my lighting set up, that i will transplant my babies into the bigger pots that i bought.
attached are the pictures of my 2 top (so far) mangoes and a pic of the ballast and the light bulb casing. there is an installation guide printed on the ballast, but like i mentioned earlier, i don't have a clue on wiring it up to a power source, so any help will be very very much appreciated.

oh and i would like to know how much of my plant i should bury upto, when i transplant em into bigger pots. i would prefer the depth be described by the distance in cm from the baby leaves(the leaves which pop out from the seed)

and my plants seem to be having a hard time keeping upright, but then again that could be from a very weak source of light, or due to the fact that the plants were planted too shallow.

chao.

i cannot help you on the wiring im not good with electricity but your plants look to be stretching a bit , move the light closer will fix that

well first of all your babies look like they are stretching for more light so whatever you are using for them now.. get em closer to your plants... if your using HID put them close to your plants but place your hand between the light and the plants... if it feels hot on your hand move the light a bit further away until it doesnt... if you are using flouro's, u should be using at least 3 or 4 23watt(100watt equivilant) at 6500K(daylight) and 1 or 2 23watt(100watt equivilant) at 2700K(soft white) for vegetive growth. keep the light schedule at 18 hours on/6 hours off until flowering. As far as your ballast connections go, im sure you could find wiring diagrams or info on the manufactures website if not return the ballast and get one that can plug right into an outlet... its a conversion ballast and it'll save you plenty of time

damn, thought so..
the lighting will have to wait till i set it up.
i live in a country where people come out on the latenight news for getting busted on growing weed. laws are very strict here and if i was to go around asking for information on how to hook up a hps system indoors, that would draw alot of heat.
how do people usually get their lights wired up??
