Lighting coverage question

My room is 3.5 x 7 ft with 2 air cooled 600w hps lights. My ebb flow system has 5 gal buckets n 55 gal Rez. I set it up for 4 buckets under each light. But my question is, can I squeeze 6 buckets under each light. If I expand my room to say 4 x7 ? Or is 12 plants too many to run under 2 lights? Or crowding issues possibly?

I'd say it depends on how big you're going to grow them, and especially how much space they're gonna take in square inches/metres/or whatever. If I recall correctly, you've got enough light there with those 2x600W HPS for all of them. But I suggest you let someone else comment and give you a perhaps more accurate answer. There are equations that can calculate for you, how big of an area your lights will cover and still give a proper, maximum yield.
