Lighting cycle question.

Ok so i know during vegg i use 6500k bulb, but is that enough for just one plant to veg? and then when i star flowering add a 42 watt 2700k bulb(both are 2800 lumes each). Or do i need them both the whole time mixed or what? I have a 42 watt Cfl (6500k)bulb on my seedling currently.
