Lighting - Electric's Setup

Hey i was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on electrics! Apologies if any of this sounds stupid! .........

Is it safe to run 3 core house wire about 50 metres, this is connected to a single plug thats wired to the wall 1 end with a power breaker on it, this 50m wire goes to a shed in the garden and is wired in to a plug there, from there a 13a 3 wire extension lead takes the power to another shed but is only a single socket lead, from here i would want to run a 600w digital HPS with timer through a 1000kw contactor, as the plugs only single and the contactor/timer needs 2 a double plug would have to be used (from various forums running a contactor off a double plug works fine?!)

Any advice would be good, i can wire a plug but when it's abit more complicated im lost!

Thanks alot.

dude, I have no idea what you are talking about. What is a double plug?
When you say house wire what do you mean? I'm guessing 14 gauge, good for 15 amps
It will probably work depending on what a double plug is, a 600wat light only uses about 5 amps but you will loose a lot of efficient because of all the transitions and distance.

Get large gauge cable and it will be ok, however if your running it outside you should use armored cable for protection!

Sorry with housewire i meant normal electric cable - 3 wires inside red, blue and green - this is rated around 13/15 Amp.
