I go with eighteen/six under tube florescents, I put them out as soon as I can, after the last frost which can be hard to judge, usually around the middle of april. It is best to get the plants about a foot tall so some animal doesn't come by and eat them, animals love the fresh sprouts but the more mature growth is much more bitter so they would probably just take a bite and move on....for the deer and rabbits fertilize with blood meal they hate the smell and will stay away from the plot, but the blood meal will attract other carnivorous animals that will dig in the ground to find the blood meal because they think there is food there, I lay little pieces of wire mesh around the plants to prevent them from digging them up. And I piss everywhere I might even save it in jugs sounds a little sick but it works. just a few tips to keep the predators awayJimmy
What hours lighting do you use and when do you put them out?
