looking to move upgrade to one single light source over 2 separate LED i have currently. I have an awfully awkward tent sizing (4x2x6) so I'm working with some regular sizing restrictions. looking to upgrade my light game

You're looking at a custom light rack. Something you'll need to build. Then you can build the light layout to the space.

Its expensive. About $300 for a light rack that'll fit perfect. With the same amount of light, wall to wall.

I suggest COBs. CobKits is where to get the stuff.

Other then that. I can't help you with a pre made commercially available light that'll fit the way you'd want it.

400$ maybe there’s discounts somewhere . Just first link I clicked , I’d go directly to their web page . Some people give Mars a lot of shit . I don’t think they’re that bad . Sure there’s better companies out there but that’s the same with everything .....

to be honest i am really pleased with the results i have got. i have popped a few seeds under a 75w blurple light but when i put the plants under the migro they really take off. it has a dimmer and im able to keep the driver outside the tent because its separate from the light, this helps with heat inside the tent. the light sits 6 inches above the canopy, i maybe a new grower but ive smoked enough to know the first buds i grew where nice and dense, grind well and burn nicely, i cant fault this light at all.

i didnt even know HPS was an option due to my tents size. had a buddy scare me out of it but you know what i might have to go that route
iirc in your other thread your size is actually a 2x4x5 (24x48x60").

with only 5 ft height HPS might give you heat problems. id stick with LED if you can afford to go that route as you will save a lot on electricity in the long run. 240W of LED vs 400W of HPS (+ extra cooling).

Random review of the two products from Amazon below:
“I bought this product after seeing the PAR chart which shows the Mars Hydro SP300 exceeding light output of a 450 watt competing light (I own that light too)
I was initially skeptical on how a 300 watt light could exceed performance on a 450 watt light. My worries proved true. Turned up to full power this 300 watt light isn’t nearly as bright as the 450 watt
The light has maybe 2 x 4 footprint whereas the 450 watt light is closer to 3 x 4. Because of this most plants on this side of the 4x8 are flowering under 18 hours of light. The plants on the side with the 450w are healthier, more vigorous and still in vegetative growth. This light purchase will end up costing me about 250 grams or $2000 in lost harvest weight
My 450 watt led was $150 less. The cheaper light seems to outperform the SP300 by a large margin. I feel like the more expensive 6500 model might be nice, this one can only be used as supplemental lighting
There were also some quirky manufacturers issues to point out which I have attached pics of. There is a couple feet of cord between the driver and switch that I don’t understand. It’s almost like you could remove the driver and mount external to tent. There is no indication in manual why it would be there so I just taped the extra couple feet of cord to the ceiling of the tent.
Also, the mounting brackets are super cheap and do not have holes, you wedge the cheap bracket in to the heat sink. To me I was shocked. This isn’t secure at all, someone could barely bump the light and it would risk falling to the ground
It would make more sense to add a bracket with holes on the outside of the driver and switch. Then the light would be sturdy
I will be trying this light for a dark spot in my high pressure sodium room, might end up returning, still have 30 days to decide”
