First, I'm going to say i'm not reaallllyy serious about growing, so i'm not gonna hop out to the store and buy something (mostly cause i don't have a car. I walk 
.) okay. so that being said, i've got this light here, that is a 15 watt FloodMax R30, says it's warm white light. MaxLite brand. would like to know if it would work similar to a flourescent.
also, is there any way to tell what kind of bulb it is if you don't have the box? i have one here that's a slightly purple shade, gets real hot real fast, and i wanna geuss halogen. but is there any way to tell for sure?
