Ok. So I am new to this website so if this is the wrong section to post this question I am sorry. I am wanting to start to grow in my closet and was thinking maybe a HPS 150W for lighting... The entire closet is painted white.... Does this help reflect? Will I need a stronger/more lights? My closet is about 2' wide 6' long and about 7'-8' tall... How many could this hold? 2 plants? Maybe 3? Is 2' even wide enough for the plants???

Welcome to RIU. This section is fine for what you are asking about. White paint does help reflect light but make sure its flat white and not gloss. A 150 watt HPS is a small light but suitable for 2 maybe 3 plants depending on their size.
With the closet space you mentioned you have more room for plants than the 150 watt HPS will cover so you either want to add more lights or stick with 2 plants for the best results and yes 2 feet is plenty wide enough.

I'm not completely sure... I was actually hoping someone would know how many this area/light can hold and what kind of harvest I should be expecting... If you know this that would be much help
The area you have could comfortably fit 4-5 large plants assuming you were to add more light. Given that the layout of the closet is long and narrow one large wattage light would not work to cover the entire area.
If this was me I would put in 3 250 watt HPS lights with proper ventilation and 5 plants and would expect a harvest of just over an ounce per plant dried assuming you dont mess up horribly somewhere along the line.

Thats a fair question but why not just recommend an appropriate setup for his situation and let him price it out according to his budget? I think its fair to say that a nice setup can be obtained for his size of closet for a very reasonable price dont you?
Well... I currently am tight on money so I am not sure. Some kind of info on if this light would help support this area or not would be appreciated though... Also if you have suggestion for lighting go ahead and share please... I don't really care the cost.... Just please not too expensive.

I pretty much already gave my 2 cents as far as lighting goes but cant help but notice that you say money isnt an issue with the next sentence following pleading to keep it inexpensive. This is slightly confusing. Is it an issue or not?
i would suggest going for 2 plants. with 6' long and over 6' high u can grow 2 nice tall plants. dont top or FIM them tho as u dont want a bushy plant. u want a thin tall plant, maybe a sativa.
as for lights. i would say a 250 hps and some side lighting with cfl's or T5/T8 fluorescence's.
u can always go LST ( low stress training) which will work in almost any space.
This is just my opinion but dont use CFL's. You are on the right track with a HPS and if you decide to get what I suggested will be very happy come harvest. LST isnt my style but to each his own. I just ask why when you have plenty of room to grow normally without the added hassle of training.

A 250 HPS should run about $200.00 for the entire setup. At least last time I checked thats what they were going for but it has been a while now.
LST in short is training your plant to grow the way you want it to rather than its natural straight up growth. Your plant with LST could be grown in a way to more accommodate your grow room.
