Lighting questionn help please

Ok I livE in a apartment in ny m growing a normal green weed plant she's Still On the vegetation stage my question is what's the minimum amount of light that she can have I turn on the light before I go to skool at around 8:30 am and I turn it Of around 5:30 to 6:30 .. Is that good light for her ?? I really dnt keep her 16 hours Of strait light

You want to have your light on for 18 hours a day to keep her vegging and growing.12 hours if you want it bud out.
