Lighting Schedules

I was wondering what lighting schedule to use I am using 4 42watt cfl`s on two plants in miricle grow.
I know the 12-12 rule for flowering but what about general growing schedule?

i'd run them 24/7 at first then cut back to 18/6 a week or so before finally switching to 12/12. Also try letting them sit in 24 hours darkness the night before your 12/12 schedule. Helps reinforce the signal to start flowering

also you can give em 24 hrs darkness before you cut em. more resin some say
