Just started my sprouts in a box, I have them on a 18/6 schedule with a timer on the light, they are a week old, when do i want to change photo time and to wat?happy burnin

you can change when ever you want. 12/12. but more veg= bigger plants

so what do you think is appropriate amount of time of veg?

Yo yo there are tons of grow guides thatcover everything u need to know. You can also use the search bc 99 times out of 100 someone has already answered your question.

As far as lighting , you can switch it to 12/12 on day one or day 200 it depends on what kind of yield you want and how big or small you want the plant to be. I assume you only have one plant so it could be a male. If I were you I would goto 12/12 immediately to determine it's sex because you don't want to veg out a potenial male. You will have wasted your time you know?

I have 4 going right now, germing 2 more seeds, i dont want to get to big beacause they need to fit in a closet, so as soon as i want them to stop growing i just change it to 12/12? thanks

No. A typical plant grows 2 to 3 as big once you switch to flower. So if you veg until it's 1 foot tall it will be 2 to 3 feet tall by the time it's done. So if you only want it to be 18" then you should switch the light when the plant is 6 to 9".
