ok i was wondering if 2 cfl 40 watt bulbs would be enough for growing 1 plant, This will be my first grow so some advice would help alot.

how big is the space you are growing in.. but i would go with 5 or 6 myself. i have seen 1st hand on 2 plants grown with 13 cfls.. buds looked nice and the plants looked nice and full

i just want 1 plantto start off with, im growing in a space of 3hight 1breadth 3length << foot btw

look at your bulbs when you buy them they make both blue spectrum for veg..and a red spectrum for the flower cycle

I would get at least 6-10 of those lights to finish and get a fairly decent yield make sure they are 2700k spectrum when flowering, (the orange looking ones, not the blue ones, which are best for vegging and for now! though seedlings love warm 40 watt cfl`s

been a while sence i talked lumens.. forgot what waz what there for a minute..

yeah dude, i just read a post on this site hat explains it all i know 100% what im doingnow finally, lightingwas the hardest part to figure out, TIME FOR SHOPPING! lol

don`t forget 2700k is the spectrum (warm red) and not the amount of lumens coming out of the bulb, From what I recall a 40 watt cfl gives off about 3000 Lumens give or take.

i would just get a 150w hps.. its 73 bucks shipped from ebay..
