Lightproofing window

Need to keep light from leaking out of this window but it needs to look normal from outside. Ideas?

Take pictures of the room then make a shadow box with the room pics on it so it looks like the inside but it's not

I just use a blackout curtain behind the normal shades. I use thumbnails to hang them from the ceiling

I was going to use a black out curtain but the arched windows at the top u can see the curtain from outside

Curtains aren’t suspicious though. So even if you can see the curtains from the outside that would seem totally normal.

Usually curtains let some light through though I can’t have any light leaking out as the window faces the road

The blackout curtains that were talked about are designed to block light. And wouldn’t look wierd was my point. You could also easily put up curtains and then put black panda film or plastic on the inside and it would just look like curtains from the outside. That’s what I did at one of my first grow spots.

When I had my room set up I used this stuff on the inside behind the curtains of a large window .

HDX 10 ft. x 100 ft. Black 6 mil Plastic Sheeting CFHD0610B - The Home Depot

Use this HDX Black Plastic Sheeting for outdoor protection, a paint drop cloth or to winterize windows. Made of recycled polyethylene.

I made sure the curtains were hanging right and taped it up good to the window frame .

Nail a moving blanket to the wall so it drapes over the entire window overlapping the walls. Folks can't see inside during the day anyway, it'd just be dark at night. I don't know how stealthy that would be, but it wouldn't be expensive.

tbh if you are really worried about light at night, put a light outside the window facing down most people will think its a security light and pay no mind to it, it will mask the light that does end up coming thru. just a thought

i vote for tinted mirrored film on the window you will be able to see out but people on the outside will see a mirrored window. i install shit like that pretty often, its very similar to the install on a car.
