Hey, I'm new to growing (schmobviously) and i need helping picking out which types of lights i should use. Currently i have 2 pair. 4 fluro's attached to a ballast , and 3 cfl. both of wich are very powerful however the fluro's have already been through a grow cycle so they are slighlty used. More detailed info about the lights are included in the pics. So rollitup comm. can you help a n00bie out :???:. Which ones will produce optimum growth for my plants?

Thank You.

Use all of them.. and then go get a few more..

Figure about 300 watt cfl in a 1.5x2 ft space will yield you at least a couple ounces every 3 months.

I yield about 4 ounces manicured consistently, in a 18 inch by 22 inch space using right at 300 watt cfl..

If any of this helps.. but ya, use all the lights you have, then go get more..

Peace~!

I voted for the tubes 'cauce they have a reflector at least so you'll get all the light directed onto the plants, most people are only getting a small fraction of the light energy from cfls onto their plants. No information on your lights spectrum ???

It all depends on which ones provide the highest output actually reaching the plants, which depends on placement. It might be easier keeping the lights within 1-2" using the T5, than the CFLs, so that might be the better option, hard to say for sure, without actually being there.

I'm little strapped for cash right now so i'm only using 1 or the other. I'm planning on selling the 1 that doesn't get picked.
Thanks for the response.
