Lights for 1 plant

I have 1plant under a 20 watt cfl light. Is thqt ok for veg stage? I plan to upgrade it in flowering but for now is it ok

itll grow.

I'm trying to find the right quantity of light myself. while its fairly rough information. I'm getting the feeling of 100+ watts per plant is recommended at flower. However I do know a bit about using lights for growing other stuff(algae) I can tell you that while the plant is small if you place the bulb close to the plant with a reflector on it you should be good until it out larger. The PAR(photoactive radiation) of a light at 6" is many times greater than it is at 12". If your looking for bang for your buck CFLs with a parabolic reflector is best(home depot). the spot CFLs are not all that great.

If you use cfls you will have to hang some lower for the lower branches.

i have gotten a plant to about 3 ft tall with 1 CFL. but it takes a long time. I have had better luck using 1 6500K 23w and 1 2700K 23w per plant

I grew my entire first plant using one cfl. This time I have 4 100w equalivent cfls on the one plant and it's growing very quickly check my grow in my sig
