Lights! Help please =D

Ok Im growing right now with some shitty lights, theyre ok for now and im wondering if I should just do CFL, I really want a Metal Halaide and Home Depot has the bulbs but I cant find any 400 watt ballasts or fixtures to put them into , anyone know anywhere I can get something or a reccomended setup style for lights?.,

if you can, go with a metal halide(mh) for vegging and High pressure sodium(hps) for flower...home depot and lowes both sell mh and hps bulbs, but im almost positive you wont find a ballast for them, but they might have a fixture for those specific bulbs with built in ballast...check this out http://cgi.ebay.com/400-HPS-MH-Grow-Light-Kit-Deluxe-w-timer-yoyo-dimmable-/290527645954?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43a4cc1102#ht_4645wt_961...159$ shipped to wherever u want....its a switchable ballast, so u can veg with the mh and when u decide to flower, flip the switch on ballast and switch ur bulbs and ur good to go...CFLs CANNOT fuck with HID lights....theres alot of debate over this, but they dont even compare....spend the gap and get a nice light and u will not be let down...if u dont prefer to shop online, try to get to ur nearest hydro store if possible....hope this helps and leads you in the right direction....ganja

you wont find the ballasts for HPS or MH there. i agree with ganjaluva2009, but if the HID's are to expensive nothing wrong with the CFL rout.

i think you can order ballasts from Home/Depot or Lowes, get them delivered to store
but just as expensive as doing an internet order, cfl's do make for a cheap setup for a small grow
