yea thats what i figured, the grow bible i was reading didnt specify what exact LIME to use and i had read somewhere else about hydrated lime so that makes perfect sense...

Don't use hydrated lime either.

It has its uses, but not in growing MJ.

Dolomite or Garden lime (as mentioned), is what you want to mix into your soil. Even the expensive bagged shit needs it, along with perlite.

Finely ground, NOT pellets. It's cheap, ~$10-$12 for a 40lb bag at HD or Lowes.

damn your getting screwed. our mennards has it for around 3.50 for a 50 lb bag.
yea everything needs it. it will keep your shit straight and growing right.

what if i mixed it in but in pellets a few weeks back? should i sprinkle a little ground up dolo on top assuming it will leach down with waterings?

you can...id just mix it into the soil though.you can top dress with it or water it into the soil or growing medium .
most garden lime is powdered already .
